Fit for a Queen

Preparing an outfit for a formal event can be quite expensive, but you can save a lot by choosing versatile pieces that can be worn again for other occasions. For instance, you can turn a long black gown into an LBD by simply adjusting the hem. You can also save on jewelry with a single embellished headpiece. Just slip on one of these headbands from The Royalty Shop and keep your accessories simple and minimal.

Oh, and don't forget to make room in your purse for your precious headband in case it gets replaced with a crown! ;)

Cooking Up a Sandstorm

Leave it to Alexander Wang to make shades of brown work with gray. He has cooked up a sandstorm for his Spring/Summer 2010 collection with neutral ensembles that are far from ordinary.

This camel and gray jersey dress looks incredibly fierce!

Sporty has never looked this chic. Melanie C would've kicked ass in head-to-toe Wang!

I'm loving AW's twist to the classic crisp white shirt and khaki skirt.

What's sexier than a little black dress? A nude one. I'd trade in the black lace-ups for a pair of nude pumps, though.

There's so much you can do with your grays, whites and browns. Dig 'em up from your closet and find new ways to reinvent those basics!

The Best Belgian Chocolate Cookies from Les Chocolateries

I'm hooked on these dark Belgian chocolate lace cookies I got from Les Chocolateries in Cebu, thanks to my friend Therese! I found their Multiply site earlier and discovered that these can be ordered in Manila! Hallelujah!

By far, these are the best cookies I've ever tasted. They're thin and deliciously crispy, and the dark Belgian chocolate is very rich.

Other flavors are mint, white and semi-sweet chocolate, available in packs of 300 grams (390PhP) and 600 grams (600PhP). Log on to their Multiply site for more information on how to order.

I'm putting their numbers on speed dial!
