A blue and brown palette can make for a refreshing ensemble with a mix of cool and warm hues. Spotted these shades on Gucci and Dries Van Noten runways, where both collections also displayed ordinary pieces spiced up with luxe accessories and unexpected details.

On the Gucci Resort 2010 runway, a brown blazer dresses up a denim button-down shirt and slim white pants, with brown and nude accessories bringing unity to the ensemble. The striking blue and camel contrast in the second outfit really caught my eye, but if you look closely, it's the colors that added oomph to the otherwise basic collared shirt, jacket and jeans combo.

Solid-colored sleeves on plaid shirts give a modern two-toned twist to the classics in the Fall 2010 collection of Dries Van Noten. Navy, sky blue and khaki as well as navy, mocha and camel are a couple combinations of blues and browns that you can whip out of your wardrobe.
