All Dolled Up

Rebel against the masculine looks of the season and doll yourself up with ribbons, pink lips and dresses. Above are some makeup and accessory inspirations from W magazine. Please reserve the extra large bows for Halloween, though. Whether you choose to go for a Victorian or Sweet Lolita look, make sure to look like a lady -- not a big baby!

Babydoll dresses need not be ruffled and all pink. A pleated mini dress with an empire waist has just enough sweetness that won't give anybody a tooth--or in this case, an eye-ache.

Pleats, eyelet fabric and a-line skirts scream girly girl! Pair a plain skirt with a pastel-colored top to complete the doll-like look.

Black ruffles and pleats don't always translate to a gothic look (but it can!) It only depends on how you wear them. Be a more sophisticated doll in black and white and high heels.

Dolls aren't always all dressed up, are they? Trade those skirts and dresses for casual denims. Victorian corsets are very sexy. Wear one with a pair of stretch jeans on a night out and balance off the sexiness with a pair of high-heeled Mary Janes and a headband. Very cute.

Find the little girl in you and slip into ballet flats and high-heeled Mary Janes. Be it sweet, sexy or sophisticated, these would definitely step up your style.

Bows and bands add girlish charm to any outfit. Get sassy and dainty with a long satin ribbon worn as a headscarf.

It's a look that's pretty easy to pull off. Add sparkling eyes and an angelic smile and you'll be getting a lot of hi's. Well, you can always go gothic if you prefer a darker, more mysterious doll-like look ;-)
